Insurance and Billing Policies
Patient benefits are verified prior to the start of treatment and individualized payment plans are available for patients without insurance coverage. Our front office team will confirm your healthcare benefits before your first appointment and review any anticipated out-of-pocket costs with you.
We are committed to working closely with each patient to accommodate individual financial needs. Patient responsibility may be paid by major credit card, check or cash. Deductibles, coinsurance and copayments are due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made with the Practice Manager.
If your insurance carrier requires a physician’s order or prescription for physical therapy services, it is the patient’s responsibility to obtain this documentation. The Biomechanix billing team is available to assist with any questions regarding coverage or payment.
Prior to your First Appointment
Our Front Office will contact you the day prior to your appointment to confirm and let you know if there will be any patient responsibility for your visit.
For your convenience, we have provided our new patient forms on our website. To help expedite your first visit, please download, print and complete the forms. Bring them with you when you come in for your first visit. If you choose to fill out the patient form packet at our office, please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment to allow enough time to get them completed before your appointment time.
What to Expect at your 1st Appointment
During your first visit, your therapist will conduct an initial evaluation to assess your current condition. Your initial evaluation may consist of objective findings and testing followed by an appropriate treatment plan, including a home-exercise program and discussing the treatment length and frequency of your rehabilitation.

What to Wear for Physical Therapy
Dress in clothing appropriate for your condition and does not inhibit movement. For example, a person who is attending physical therapy for their knee will want to wear athletic shorts or athletic pants, not jeans. Also, comfortable, supportive footwear is a must.
